85.67MW hydroelectric project along the Taquesi and Unduavi Rivers consisting of two cascade plants: the Chojlla and the Yanacachi. A total of 7km of diversion tunnels (width: 2.4m height: 3m), excavated by conventional means. |
Geologic context: |
Tunnels are excavated principally through metapelites. Good rock classes prevail (65%), very high inflows and overbreak in the poorer rock classes as defined by the highly fractured and weathering conditions. |
